Step-by-Step Google Form Creation :
Step 1: Access Google Forms
- Open your browser and go to Google Forms.
- You may need to sign in with your Google account if you aren’t already signed in.
- Once you’re signed in, you’ll see a list of templates or an option to create a blank form.
Step 2: Start a New Form
- To create a new blank form: Click on the “+ Blank” option.
- Alternatively, you can choose a template by clicking on one of the options under “Template Gallery.”
Step 3: Add a Title to Your Form
- In the top left corner of your form, click on “Untitled form.”
- Enter a title for your form (e.g., “Customer Satisfaction Survey” or “Event Registration Form”).
- Optionally, add a description under the title to explain the purpose of the form.
Step 4: Add Questions to Your Form
- Under the “Questions” section, you’ll see the first question box.
- Type your first question in the “Untitled Question” field.
- Choose the question type from the dropdown (e.g., multiple choice, short answer, paragraph, checkboxes, etc.).
- For Multiple Choice: You can enter options for answers.
- For Short Answer: Respondents will type in a short answer.
- For Checkboxes: Respondents can choose multiple answers.
- Click on the “plus” (+) icon on the sidebar to add more questions.

- Click on the three dots (More options) at the bottom right of a question to access settings like:
- Required question: Make it mandatory to answer.
- Shuffle question order: Randomize the order of questions.
- For questions like multiple choice or checkboxes, you can add an “Other” option that allows respondents to provide their own answer.
Step 6: Customize the Form’s Theme
- Click on the palette icon at the top right (next to the “Send” button) to choose a color scheme or background image for your form.
- You can select from pre-set themes or upload your own images to customize the look.
Step 7: Preview Your Form
- Click the eye icon at the top right to preview your form.
- This will show you what the form looks like to your respondents.
- If you’re satisfied, close the preview window.
Step 8: Adjust Form Settings
- Click on the gear icon (Settings) in the top-right corner of the form.
- You can configure various settings like:
- Collect email addresses: Collect responses along with email addresses.
- Limit to 1 response: Require users to sign in to Google to limit responses.
- Confirmation message: Customize the message respondents see after submitting the form.
Step 9: Share Your Form
- When you’re ready to share, click on the Send button at the top right.
- You can:
- Send the form via email.
- Share the link to the form by clicking the link icon (you can also shorten the link).
